Sh. Rajesh Tomar

Born on 3rd September, 1967. Educated at Govt. High School, Bhangrotu, Govt. Senior Secondary School, Shamsher and Government Degree College, Nahan, District Sirmaur (HP), Passed LL.B, PGDPM & LW, MTA from HP University, Summer Hill, Shimla and D.B.S. from Karnataka Samskrit University, Bangalore. LLM with First Division from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. Joined profession as an Advocate on 25th October, 1990 and practiced in District Courts Nahan. Worked as standing Counsel for National Insurance & Northern Railway. Appointed to the post of Senior Supervisor (Law) NHPC. Remained posted as an Assistant Professor M.T.A. as regular faculty member in Department of Vocational Studies, H.P University, Shimla. Selected in H.P. Judicial Services (1996) and Joined as Sub-Judge-cum-JMIC, Rohru on 20th September 1996 and remained as such at Anni ( Kinnaur Division ), Una ( Una Division ) and Kangra (Kangra Division). Promoted as Civil Judge (Senior Division) on 16th August 2005 and remained posted as such at Kangra, Jawali, Nurpur (Kangra Division) and Rampur Bushahr ( Kinnaur Division). On placement as Civil Judge (Senior Division)-cum-Chief Judicial Magistrate, served at Una and Dharamshala from 25th October, 2010 to 21st December, 2013. On promotion to the Higher Judicial Services, worked in the capacity of Additional District & Sessions Judge-II, Shimla and Additional District & Sessions Judge-I, Shimla w.e.f 23-12-2013 to 09-11-2016. Became District & Sessions Judge, remained posted as Chairman, Himachal Pradesh Waqf Tribunal, District and Sessions Judge, Chamba and Presiding Judge, HP Industrial Tribunal-cum- Labour Court, Shimla w.e.f 09-11-2016 to 23-08-2023.Assumed the charge of the post of District and Sessions Judge, Mandi on 24-08-2023 in the forenoon.
